Exposure to the arts has an impact that goes beyond the obvious. It has been shown to improve children's mental and cognitive abilities, increase cultural understanding, improve performance in all curricular areas and develop social skills. At the International Academy we believe that students who are well trained in the arts are likely to have a richer source of information and knowledge to tap into.
RUBÉN JUÁREZ LÓPEZ
Performing Arts Coordinator
“I have been a professional dance teacher for over 20 years in different disciplines of movement such as folkloric dance, ballroom dance, and creative choreography.
It is wonderful to give our students at the Academia Internacional at an early age the foundation for an interest, pleasure, or vocation in the discipline of performing arts. This means that as well as entertainment there are numerous benefits for the physical and mental health of our children.
I feel so happy to be able to share my talents with students and observe their progress day by day in much more than dance, but also their self confidence, life skills, and social skills. We nurture an interest and love for the performing arts.
It is in the performing arts that the human body is modified in form and maintenance.
Dance…is the language of the soul and a tremendous gift I want to share with all our students.”
